What Happened to Sablier
On 13 July 2026 Sablier Labs announced it had stopped active product development and entered maintenance mode, with existing users to be served through June 2028. That followed an earlier announcement on 2 June 2026 that the Solana interface was being scaled back to a claiming only app rather than a full product, with the underlying programs remaining available and open source.
For Solana teams the practical read is simple. Sablier is not being taken away tomorrow, but it is no longer a platform being built on. New features are not coming, and the Solana surface is now a claim page rather than a working token operations product.

Are Existing Sablier Locks and Streams Safe?
The programs are on-chain and open source, so existing streams continue to behave as their contracts specify. Maintenance mode is a company decision about product development, not a contract shutdown.
What changes is everything around the contract. Interface support, new integrations, feature fixes, documentation upkeep and responsiveness all decline in maintenance mode. If your lock is meant to function as a public trust signal for the next two years, the question is not only whether the tokens are safe. It is whether a holder in 2027 can still land on a working page and verify your lock in ten seconds.
That verification layer is the part that degrades first when a platform stops being built.
Why This Matters More for Locks Than for Payroll
A payroll stream is an internal tool. If the interface gets worse, your finance lead copes.
A token lock is an external claim. It exists to be checked by strangers who are deciding whether to buy your token. If the page that proves the lock is a claiming only remnant of a wound down product, the claim gets weaker every quarter, regardless of what the contract says.
Projects that use locks as a trust artefact generally want that artefact hosted somewhere actively maintained, actively crawled, and easy for a holder to search without a wallet connection.
What Sablier Never Covered on Solana
Worth stating plainly for teams evaluating a move, because it changes what you are actually replacing.
Sablier is a vesting and streaming protocol. It is EVM first, and its Solana presence was always narrower than its Ethereum footprint. It has never been an LP locker. If you were using Sablier on Solana, you were using it for token distribution schedules, not for locking liquidity.
That means most Solana projects migrating away are not looking for a like for like streaming replacement. They are looking for the thing they also needed and did not have: a locker that handles LP tokens, team allocations and dev wallets with public proof.
What to Look for in a Replacement
Solana native. Not an EVM product with a Solana page attached. Token-2022, PDA vaults and the Solana DEX landscape need to be first class, not ported.
LP coverage across the DEXs you actually use. Raydium AMM v4 and CPMM, Meteora DAMM v1 and v2, Orca and PumpSwap. Liquidity moves between these, and a locker that covers one of them locks you into it.
Token-2022 support. Tokens with transfer taxes and other extensions break lockers that were built for SPL only.
A public explorer, not a certificate. A certificate is a link you hand out. An explorer is a searchable index anyone can query by token or wallet address without connecting anything.
Active development. Ask when the platform last shipped. In a maintenance mode world this is the question that separates infrastructure from an archive.

How Projects Are Migrating
You cannot move a lock. A lock is a commitment, and moving it early would defeat the point. What projects do instead is one of three things.
Let the existing lock run and lock new allocations elsewhere. The old commitment stays honoured, and every new tranche goes to a platform that will still be maintained when it matures.
Relock at the unlock date. When the original lock expires, the tokens are relocked on the new platform with a fresh date, and the transition is announced as a renewed commitment rather than a migration.
Add a parallel lock now. Lock a separate tranche immediately so holders have a live, verifiable, actively maintained proof to look at while the older lock runs down.
The third option is the strongest signal, because it gives the community something current to check without touching an existing commitment.
Locking on StakePoint
StakePoint has been live on Solana mainnet since December 2025 and is built exclusively for Solana. It supports SPL and Token-2022 token locking, LP locking across Raydium AMM v4 and CPMM, Meteora DAMM v1 and v2, Orca and PumpSwap, and staking pools for project tokens.
Every lock sits in a Program Derived Address vault with no admin keys and no cancel instruction, is enforced entirely by on-chain program logic, and is publicly verifiable at stakepoint.app/locks with no login and no wallet connection. The smart contract holds a Grade A audit from auditr.xyz with zero high severity findings, and the upgrade authority is secured by a Squads 3 of 4 multisig with hardware wallet signers.
The platform is tracked on DeFiLlama and DappRadar, and it ships continuously.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Sablier shutting down?
Sablier Labs announced in July 2026 that it has stopped active product development and entered maintenance mode, with existing users served through June 2028. The protocol contracts remain on-chain and open source.
What happened to Sablier on Solana?
In June 2026 Sablier scaled the Solana interface back to a claiming only app rather than a full product. The Solana programs remain available and open source.
Are my Sablier streams still safe?
The contracts continue to operate as written. What declines in maintenance mode is the product layer around them: interface development, integrations, and support.
Can I move an existing lock to another platform?
Not before its unlock date, and that is by design. Most projects lock new allocations elsewhere immediately and relock the original tranche when it matures.
Did Sablier support LP locking on Solana?
No. Sablier is a vesting and streaming protocol. Projects needing to lock Raydium, Meteora, Orca or PumpSwap LP tokens have always needed a dedicated Solana locker.
What is the best Sablier alternative for Solana in 2026?
For LP and token locking specifically, StakePoint covers all major Solana DEXs, supports SPL and Token-2022, and publishes every lock to a public explorer. For vesting schedules and payroll streams, Streamflow remains the closest functional equivalent on Solana.
